Fishing Lines

His old hand on the fishing rod patiently awaits

to feel the fish move

Through the hook

to the fishing line

to the rod

while his eyes follow her young hands,

leading colourful beads

through the needle

to what’s left of his fishing line

The sun shines on.

  1. Dazzled by the light coming through the colourful beads…

A scenic piece that reminds me of ‘Illuminate’; a song by Orbital/David Gray:

    ‘Paint the world anew
Find a way to open all the joy in order to
    Illuminate the strain
    Fireworks in the blue
    B’yond the burstin’ endless shine
Show me where the real light is’

  2. thank you
i should get that song, it reads nice, must sound even better

  3. sometimes waiting is good…it gives you a chance to observe.

  4. agreed… as long as the waiting is not for too long, and as long you know to observe
There’s an amazing piece about waiting, within “The Places you’ll go” by Dr. Seuss. I think you might like it :)
