I’m crossing my fingers and hoping this guy wasn’t American.
He wasn’t… but to be fair, he was young and he said it in a way that you couldn’t hold it against him. you know, the way children sometimes say things that could be offensive but are not.
Btw, I love your writing. I hope you get that book deal. You remind me of Donna Tart, her “Secret History” was a book I couldn’t put down and I’m sure yours will be like that too.
